Mission
The Main Street Community Improvement District's charge is to enhance the quality of life of Kansas City's Main Street Corridor through addressing concerns of general welfare and common good by implementing a 'clean and safe' program and enhancing the image of Main Street.
General Welfare / Common Good
"Clean & Safe" agenda implemented by Area Maintenance Attendants & Area Awareness Officers supervised by Operations Manager, C. Stan Henry.
Area Maintenance Attendants will provide daily litter removal, landscape maintenance, snow shoveling from crosswalk and handicap areas, graffiti and poster removal, and visitor and customer assistance.
Area Awareness Officers will provide on the street monitoring, reporting, assisting with medical emergencies, detouring illegal or suspicious behavior, and serving as on the street assistance for visitors, customers and residents of the area.

boundaries of the Main Street CID are 27th Street on the North, 47th Street on the South and following commercial development along the East and West boundaries.
